Bidrage med feedbackI wrote a private message, but was ignored. we visited yesterday at 2 o'clock, the parking lot was empty, the alarm bells should have sounded. we ordered drinks, a dizzy blonde and a moretti and went outside to sit. 5 minutes later we were advised that they have no design beer. we asked what other layiers they had, but the barmann did not know he offered to go and look, but we just ordered another half of moretti. we waited about 20 minutes without signs of barman or our drinks. we are gone! very disappointing, but on the basis of the empty bar/restaurant, previous bad reviews and lack of reaction we should not be surprised. we will not return. so a scandal! update; get an answer on facebook messenger and was called a lügner! absolutely exaggerated! it's really ridiculous!
Visited here after crocky trail for the afternoon. excited, asunday roast with groundless frying, gravy, yorkshire puddings, as advertised! unfortunately, when we arrived, they were out of beef, not a big thing. when eating arrived, it was ok, sending feedback directly. to pub available on the bottomless options. cauliflower cheese was very delicious. worth for children toasting is really good considering that they drink, roast and ice cream cone all for £5. kinder hühnerburger was not necessarily a burger, more like two chicken bugs in a bungalow.
Just had a lovely meal here, to end a wonderful break in Chester. Stumbled upon this unassuming pub on the main road out of the town and thought we’d give it a try, after reading good reviews and seeing the food pics. First impressions from...the car park were very positive they have dining domes out the back. A good idea for “safe” social gatherings and adds some wow factor to the experience. Upon entering, we were welcomed with a smile from the lady host and I must say, the interior decor is rather special. Very nice design, homely yet cool and noticeably very clean! The menu was simple yet innovative. Good choice of dishes and some interesting ingredients used. The black pudding Bon Bons, duck main and roasted caramelised carrots were highlights. The chef was kind enough to give us a complimentary dessert which was listed on the menu simply as “Surprise”. Well, it was a very pleasant surprise as it was his take on Bombe Alaska, but with lemon curd inside perfect, light, tangy and not too sweet. Good end to the meal. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. A nice touch was the Chef Owner, Matt, coming out to talk with us, asking how the food was and telling us a bit more about the business and his philosophy on food. Matt’s passion for his craft and dedication for his business was clear to see and really inspiring. I wish him and The Black Dog all the best with the future if the food and service stays as good as this, I know he will be a huge success. Would recommend everyone to try out this place 5/5
Beautiful Easter Sunday lunch here today with family. roast beef was excellent and the veg choice was great. had sticky toffe pudding and it is probably the most beautiful lightest I ever had. the personal is attentive and very pleasant. I'd like to see you in particular. the warmer months that come when the outdoor igloo pods are great!
