Sticky Walnut - Chester

One of my all time favourite restaurants, always excellent and never disappoints. Service and atmosphere are so relaxed and welcoming and the food is just perfect every time. This is a top notch restaurant that hits the spot on so many notes. The main thing though is that the food is original and absolutely delicious. We both opted for the Pan Fried Fillet of Stone Bass the golden raisins, pine nut and salted lemon dressing was a standout. I think I make the best mash potato but Sticky Walnut challenged me with their garlic and olive oil version I have since made this at home and I am a complete convert. The restaurant is relaxed for what could be considered fine dining. The staff knew their stuff and were welcoming. It also offers good value for money. We were slightly amused by the guest at the table next to us ordering just a plateful of carrots in a culinary restaurant of this calibre, but each to their own. Looking forward to visiting again a must do if you are visitor to Chester. Highly recommended!

The food was excellent. I had a lovely lamb breast starter and a spicy schwarma chicken main. We have been a few times. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We went for my dad's birthday and they gave us a birthday treat which was a lovely touch. Definitely worth a visit if you've not been before. Dietary restrictions: There was a gluten free menu for one of our party which is always great to know that you are still getting quality food.
