Butcher Bros Steakhouse - Cheshire

I booked a 12 noon lunch. Yes. It was Valentine's Day but I was never made aware when booking that it was a price fix menu. $75- per person for lunch is crazy as it was the same menu for dinner. The service and food were all very good and the portions were dinner portions. They should have offered the lunch menu as well and switched over to the price fix for dinner.

Went on a Saturday night, they had live music, good food, good service. Brought home left overs and they were good days later. The true mark of good food.

Waitress didn't listen when ordering, asked what was in mixed veggies and told her I had a severe allergy to peppers. Told me I would be fine. Food came out and it was covered in bell peppers. She didn't come back until we were almost finished to check on how things are. I wasn't able to eat any of the veggies. Room was also cold didn't seem to have the heat on. Rest of food was good.

As usual food and service were great. Unfortunately the heater in the room we were in was not working, nor was the cappuccino/espresso machine. We'll be back because the food and service are consistently excellent!

Considering how pricey they are, I would say they are on the lower level of steakhouses in Connecticut. By far they do not compare to Flemings in West Hartford. The side portions were on the smaller side. Flavoring on the steak was scarce. Had to grab my own utensils from a neighboring empty table, because the waiter brought us our salad and we waited about 10 minutes with no utensils.
