Can’t rate this venue highly enough. Fantastic friendly atmosphere , food delicious.Spotlessly clean staff could not do emough for us,excellent value for money .To top it all off right in the heart of beautiful Chester.Will definitely be back

Lovely pub and decent meals with staff who were very pleasant and helpful. It was also very clean and tidy, the bar shone and the tables were wiped down as soon as customers left.

Another great visit to the Old Custom House. Went for a late lunch with family and friends. All meals were delicious, staff were helpful and friendly and we were very well looked after. Meals and drinks reasonably priced, excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend

Having seen all the great reviews we were completely taken aback by the most miserable bar person I have ever come across in my life! We could only presume this was a new member of staff although she was manning the bar on her own. The heavily tattooed bar person could not have been more unwelcoming if she had tried. We didn't stop for food which was a shame as the reviews seemed all ok. If this is a new member of staff I'd get her out of there before she turns the ale!!

We came across the pub by accident as we were on the way back out of the centre after a walk. It looks like a small pub from the outside but actually when you get inside its huge and has some lovely seating areas. The food we had was really tasty and fresh. The staff were quick to clear tables and make sure everything stayed tidy. The toilets were spotless! Cleanest loos have seen in a pub for a long time and its not often you can say that! Well worth a visit!
