Bidrage med feedbackSaturday night at this restaurant is like a lively game of musical chairs, showcasing its popularity. Diners eagerly watch as you finish your last bite of fish and chips, hoping to snag your still warm seat with a pint for £9. My only complaint was the group of elderly patrons near the fruit machine by the stairs to the restroom, who had taken chairs and stools for themselves, forcing others to navigate around crowded tables. While this may have caused some inconvenience for those in need of a restroom break, thankfully no incidents occurred. The only other issue was the chef's complaint of a sore finger from repetitive strain injury caused by the microwave. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, more entertaining than a David Attenborough documentary.
We stopped in for a coffee before seeing our daughter. We were greeted by a friendly and polite young woman named Rebecca (Becca). We got our drinks from the machine and she checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. Excellent service. She made us feel comfortable and at ease. Overall, it was a very enjoyable half hour.
I had a dessert of apple crumble and custard. The custard was cold and congealed, while the crumble topping tasted like just flour. I may return for drinks, but I won't be eating there again.
Didn't eat here today because disappointed to be told over an hour wait for food. Eaten here loads of times and service normally great so hopefully just a glitch with the number of staff on duty today.
We had a great experience for lunch on Wednesday. The staff were polite and helpful as usual and the food was very tasty. It is a difficult industry and often with a quick staff turnaround, but I think the manager on the day, makes all the difference. Happy manager, happy team. We had an all day breakfast and Chicken T Masala. Beer and refillable coffee...
