Tried the takeaway menu during the COVID 19 lockdown. We ordered the Thai green chicken curry and buttermilk fried chicken, both of which were excellent. I was particularly impressed with the coleslaw and a proper salad not just a token garnish which came with the fried chicken, which itself was very tender. It was delivered promptly and was still hot. Enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Will definitely be using this service again if lockdown continues!

My father and I stayed at this establishment for one night during our journey across the country. It was a pleasant surprise to find this gem nestled in the beautiful countryside of Oxfordshire. The Duty Manager greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our room, which was located up some steep narrow stairs. The room exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, spaciousness, and a great ensuite bathroom with a nice hot shower. The room was equipped with modern amenities such as a small TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and bottles of fresh water. The bar area had a warm and cozy atmosphere, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner there, especially the Curry. There was also a restaurant at the rear of the pub, where we had a lovely breakfast the following morning. The Duty Manageress was a delightful and friendly lady who made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend this place for its food and accommodation. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Last week, we enjoyed a delightful meal at this restaurant while sitting outside. The food was excellent, and the service was both efficient and friendly. I highly recommend trying the homemade nachos, which were probably the best I have ever had! Additionally, they offer a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Whether you are dining or just stopping by for a drink, the atmosphere at this place is lovely.

The Horse and Groom is always a great choice for Sunday lunch, especially when it comes to their Roast Beef. However, today's meal was exceptional. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the restaurant is offering a take away and delivery service, with an almost full menu available. Our meal for two arrived on time and well packaged. After a quick turn in the microwave, the food was absolutely delicious. The generous portion of tender beef with all the usual trimmings and the superb red wine gravy was a real treat. We finished off with their famous bread and butter pudding with custard. A big thank you to David and Annette for providing such a wonderful meal during these challenging times!

A really pleasant experience at the pub. The room was spacious and wonderfully equipped. Nothing over the top. It and the village were cute and really relaxing. The breakfast was large and very filling, although I thought the dinner was overpriced. £12 for a small burger and about 6 chips. Staff were a little stressed and slightly robotic but other than that, the service was wonderful
