Bidrage med feedbackAfter recovering from food poisoning and not having Western food for a month, my friend and I finally got to enjoy our lunch at this restaurant. We ordered the Veg Burrito, which is normally served with dairy and egg, but we requested for them to exclude sour cream and cheese. Unfortunately, despite paying the same price, our Burrito was missing ingredients like Guacamole. The taste was good, nothing extraordinary, but we appreciated having non-Chinese food for a change. The prices were a bit high at 36 yuan per person.
After a food poisoning and a month without Western food, we enjoyed our lunch here. my friend and I had the veg burrito. it is usually with diary and ei, but after asking that they do not get sour cream and be in. but we had to pay the same and have nothing else but in our burrito (e.g. guacamole.) the taste was good, nothing special, but we enjoyed getting non-Chinese food. the price was a bit high (36 yuan per person.)
My partner and I really enjoyed this restaurant during our time living in Chengdu. We got to know the owners well and found them to be very sweet and accommodating. When they found out that I was the reviewer for Happy Cow in Chengdu, they went above and beyond to ensure that most of their menu items could be made vegan in order to be featured on Happy Cow. They have clear vegetarian options that can be easily modified to be vegan, which is a great find in a city with limited vegan options. The owners, who speak English, are very helpful and understanding of dietary needs and restrictions. We usually ordered salads or nachos with salsa, which were delicious and a nice change from the more expensive Western restaurants in the city. Note: when we were there, they used smaller tortillas, but they mentioned they were working on a new recipe. It's best to inquire about the size before ordering. It's been a year since our visit, so things may have changed since then.
My husband and I absolutely adored this restaurant when we were living in Chengdu and got to know the owners. They are both incredibly kind individuals who went above and beyond when they found out I was the Chengdu ambassador for Happy Cow. They made sure that many of their dishes could be adapted to be vegan in order to be listed on Happy Cow. The menu includes clear vegetarian options that can be easily customized to be vegan. It's a relief to have a place in the city where the staff speak English, are accommodating, and understand dietary preferences and restrictions. Our favorite dishes were the salads, bowls, chips, and salsa. It was a nice change to enjoy non-Chinese cuisine that was familiar to us, rather than the expensive "western" restaurants in the city. Just a note, when we visited they were using Schmalz in their tortillas, but they mentioned they were working on a new recipe. It's always a good idea to inquire about ingredients before ordering, as things may have changed since our visit a year ago.
