Siam Cottage Thai - Chelmsford

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The service was poor and the food was terrible. The mixed starter, which included ribs that tasted like a gammon joint, and Thai fish cakes that were like soggy omelette dumplings, was not enjoyable. The massaman curry with chicken had poor quality meat, such as thighs, which was disappointing considering the high cost of £14 for the curry alone. When we tried to remove the service charge, the waiter pretended not to understand, despite clearly knowing what we were asking. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I am perplexed as to how it is rated as one of the best Thai restaurants in Chelmsford on TripAdvisor.

If you are looking for something with a good hit of flavour and heat, then head here. Every time I visit, I order more than I need because I just want to try everything. The food is always delicious.

Visited the restaurant with family who love Thai food and also have food intolerances, and we noticed online that every dish on the menu had the full list of allergens listed (a huge win from the start! . When we arrived we were greeted warmly and seated. The interior of the restaurant is just beautiful and really adds to the experience. Everyone really enjoyed their food and thought the prices were very reasonable, would definitely visit again!

Good service and the Pad Thai was okay. I will visit again. The interior decoration has a very relaxing feel.

This restaurant is amazing. I will definitely order from here again. The drunken noodles were exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to try the other items on the menu!
