Bidrage med feedbackIn my hunt for great Asian flavors in Chattanooga I’m comforted to at least find the existence of this Thai restaurant here if not for anything else. Food is authentic and done well. Definitely part of my repertoire when dining out.
Great Thai food! First of a few Thai restaurant I've tried in town based on recommendations from locals. The Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice are all up to par with many other authentic Thai restaurant. The only reason for not providing 5 star rating is that flavor of Pad Thai was not as strong as other Pad Thai I've tries, thus, not as tasty. The restaurant is nicer on the inside than its outer appearance.
One of our favorites places in the city!. Sweet Basil is one of my all time favorite places in Chattanooga. The food is always delicious and the service superb! You won't go wrong here! Finny, the owner, is a dear!
I was delightfully surprised.. I wanted to try one appetizer, one soup, one sushi roll, one entrée. The fried spring rolls were very delicious! The tamarind sauce served with the spring rolls is just great. I had never tried miso soup but I figured I would give it a spin. It was pretty tasty, I can see how people could love it, but it just wasn't for me. The shrimp tempura roll is a classic, the the sushi chef fine a fine job putting mine together. I will say, they use a very good quality wasabi at Sweet Basil, very delicious, very portent. The Pad-Kee-Mao is a great dish. It is a broad noodle, stir fried with chicken, red green bell peppers, herbs spices. It was a fine dish, but it just felt like it was missing something, I cannot quite put my finger on it. Overall, I was very satisfied with my first visit to Sweet Basil, I would love to come back and pick out a couple more different dishes!
We like the restaurant, have had a no. of good meals there. Exception last night was a whole fried red snapper. Beautifully presented, wonderful sauce sides, good wine at reasonable price, great ambiance. Small problem: the fishy had a quite 'fishy ' taste; not as fresh as one would want, methinks. All in all, though, it was a good experience. We like the restaurant. Will certainly give it another chance.
