Use to be great but just rushed and average food. $6.80 for tea per person. Seriously a rip off. When questioned it was ‘yes, pay’. Won’t be going back

Been here lots of times and its never been as poor as it was this weekend. Used to be lines of people trying to get in but it was unusually quiet. Asked a waitress for a winelist 3 times, she ended up grunting at me and went back to cleaning a table. Finally ordered a bottle from another staff member, 10 mins later they came back and said they didnt have it, chose another, 10 mins later same thing. Dumplings were usually the highlight- this time they were dry, all pastry, filling tasteless. The pork and vegetable noodles didnt have any pork or vegetables in it from what I could see. The steamed mixed vegetables was just broccoli on its own. Whole fish was drowned in a tasteless sweet and sour sauce. By 8.45 they were mopping the floors on a Saturday night. It looks like they have increased their seating capacity but decreased their quality of food and service- there were one or two staff on the ball and seemingly knowing what they were doing but it didnt make up for what was a very disappointing experience and such a pity and it used to be very consistent

3 couples dined here last night and we were delighted to be served a truly tasty banquet of vegetarian and omnivore dishes. The crispy fried chicken, the calamari, the vegetarian dumplings, the steamed beans and vinegared cucumber were my standouts along with the reasonably priced drinks list. I especially enjoyed the Tsing Tao Porter. What a pleasant dark beer that is. The only negative vibe was the well worn but comfy furnishings and some areas of sagging wall paper.

They’ve gone off the build since the last time I visited 6 months ago. Dumplings were dry. No dark beers. Crispy chicken was boring.kitchen closed at 8pm. 15% public holiday surcharge. Ouch! They used to be good but now just boring and expensive.

We were told there would be a 30 minute wait, but after an hour we decided to leave. What a disappointment... there are plenty of other fantastic dining options to choose from, so don't waste your time at this place.
