Viera On Main - Chatham

Our table was in the very back corner of the restaurant seated way too close to two other couples. I could barely concentrate on what my husband was saying as the other couple’s conversations were loud and distracting. Six strangers should never be seated together like that especially when paying $115 per plate. Unfortunately this ruined the night for us. Server overcharged us…barely apologized when we pointed this out.

We went for a New Years Eve dinner expecting an intimate evening with friends. We were seated on the bar side rather than the main dining room despite having reservations for three months. It was extremely loud made worse when a family sat next to us with little kids playing with their new Christmas toys. The food was very good though portions were on the smaller side impacting the ‘value’ of the price fix menu. While the food was good it was not what we were looking for on New Years Eve.

The food was fabulous, but we were placed in the bar area where the lighting was super bright and kids were running around, playing with the ships wheel, screaming 8 pm). Again, since it was in the bar area, the lighting was super bright, and I didn’t really have the bandwith to ask anyone to turn the lighting down since I was grateful to have a reservation on New Year’s weekend! Food was really really really wonderful which to me is the priority.

Three of us had a wonderful dinner at Viera on Main last night. We shared a dozen Chatham/Wellfleet oysters followed by grilled swordfish and roast flounder. Everything was top notch! Gillian was our server and did a great job. Viera on Main is one of our favorite restaurants in Chatham. We will definitely be back!

Dinner at Viera on Main was a wonderful way to ring in the new year. The prix fixe menu had good selection of delicious items! This is a great neighborhood gem. The menu rotates seasonally… creative, and locally highlighted items The staff were thoughtful efficient. We will be back next season!
