Bidrage med feedbackWe had a nice family dinner here. We wanted us to sit out somewhere, and that made reservations, so we went here. Good selection of different price lunch menus. Friendly service and food came fast. Most dishes good, some excellent (the floating islands... was disappointing, but the cream Brulee wonderful). Nice place to sit in the center of the city. (The menus were not easy, but the waiter wore a mask). Would go back there.
Business dinner with old friends. Only valid for the famous Côte de boeuf grilled in the fireplace. Not really clean, very old-fashioned stylish place. Nothing special. Of course we grilled the Prime Rib. Young bull (not my preference) but good meat, tenderly given with the special...taste of a good firewood. Suitable French pommes. Meat is worth it. For the rest, go on.
I came here last year with my girlfriend and returned this year with my family. The main cook and host is friendly and always courteous when we try to speak French. We don't do too bad, but he helps us when we're stuck....The service was at a decent pace and not rushed or too slow. We were at the restaurant first on this occasion and he fired the coals as we arrived. Decor is rustic French and works well for the venue and the city. It's not gaudy, upstairs or in your face. The main grill is in the restaurant and it is nice to see that your steak is cooked. The food was delicious. We had all steaks. My daughter (11) had entrecôte, which was cooked nicely, but the Chateaubriand Steak was amazing. We had a medium rare, medium to good and everyone was made perfection and the taste was devine. Whether you have one of the tasty sauces or not the taste of the steak takes something to beat. The potato and sauce were also beautiful. We ordered the cheese for dessert and it came with bread and salad with dressing. I thought it was a starter, but it was nice. My daughter has the chocolate gateaux that tasted like brownies and was really good. This is the 2nd quality meal I had here and will certainly return.
We had an good meal here for the six of us as we just walked in and they could take us. The food was good and the meats were grilled on a wood barbeque which gave them an excellent flavour. They even catered for one...of our party who was a Vegetarian which is very unusual in France
