Bidrage med feedbackWe took our three grandchildren to Futuroscope for the weekend. Our choice of hotel was influenced by the fact that the Hotel du Parc is connected to a pirate'themed restaurant. The kids had the BEST time! The staff were patient with children and organised treasure hunt for cholate dublooms, make-up sessions and all manner of entertainment for the youngsters. When they grow up they will recall Futuroscope for the pirates dinner as well as the outstanding films across the road in Futuroscope!
This is a huge buffet style venue adjacent to the hotel it's linked with, a stones throw from Futureascope. If you eat a lot 24 euros for adults and 12 for kids (including Soft drinks or wine) is certainly a good deal as the range and quantity is considerable. The children loved eating here at the end of a long day in the car. There was face painting and balloon swords. There are arcade games for older ones too. Perhaps not a place for a quality dinner for two but for kids with big appetites this will be great.
Did not enjoy eating here. Most of the buffet was cold and lacked any flavour . Also the place could do with a good clean. The plates where dirty and most of the spoons
I really wish I'd taken photos for you all, but I couldn't as the lighting was so bad that you couldn't actually see anything. The restaurant is supposed to represent a pirates cove, what it actually represents is some sort of underused, sorry, dirty, scabby, warehouse with a couple of badly moulded pirate figures in it. The price is 13,50 euros for the lunchtime menu and this includes a drink. It is unclear whether this drink is refillable or not but we went ahead anyway! You have a choice between red wine, rosè, or a soda. We couldn't find the red wine, we found the rosè, but if this was refillable then you wouldn't want to take up that option as it was like drinking some sort of balsamic dressing mixed with urine. Now, onto the food. We arrived at 13:00 and it was clear to me that the burger buns had been left on the hot plate since about 11:30, they were rock hard. Not that you'd use them anyway as the burgers were red raw, and the chicken nuggets were so processed that I'm surprised they haven't been processed back into chickens again. They had a starter selection that included snails and mussels but I would suggest never ever going near to them. Even the patè was terrible. I've never ever had terrible patè before but I have now! Puddings, been there since last Tuesday I think, good selection but tasted like door wedges. Children under 5 eat free but the downside of this is your children will be sick the next day. STAY AWAY!!!
We visited Restaurant Pirates while on a 2 day visit to Futuroscope last week. It was around the corner from Novotel so quite handy with the kids. The buffet was 24€ a head including soft drinks and wine. This restaurant seems popular for school trips, there was at least 2 large groups of teenagers while we were there. All in all, ok but not great.
