Downtown Deli - Charlottetown

This is one of the best places to go for lunch, food is always good, always fresh and full of taste!

I 've traveled a bit in my life, spanning over 4 continents and tasted quite a few different meals, both from the local cuisine, but also from more widely known or commen sorts of eating, i.e. the burger; I have although never tasted a burger as...good as the Outlaw Burger anywhere in the world; and when you also recieve excellent and polite service, you only want to return.

This restaurant is now under new management and the quality has declined. They use a microwave to cook the food, resulting in a terrible dining experience. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich was dry and heated in a microwave. The Speck Avocado Club sandwich and soup ordered by my husband were also disappointing, with unboiled bacon and chicken that had been microwaved. The "barley" soup we received was actually a beef broth with noodles that was full of gristle. We paid $34.00 for this lunch, only to throw it away. Upon returning home, I discovered that the restaurant had recently failed an inspection on October 16, 2020, with no communication to customers.

I had a sandwich there the other day. It was very basic and dry. The service was slow and the prices for the food were too high. It wasn't terrible, but I probably won't be back.

This place deserves a lot more business than it has. So delicious food, and so cheap! Nice in the restaurant, although the location is not ideal, and I run every time. A great place to eat in Charlottetown.
