The Bebedero - Charlottesville

We had a great time at Bebedero! Easily one of the best mexican restaurants in the Charlottesville, VA. Margaritas were great! Totally recommended, if you like spicy Margarita, go for the Level 1. We tried both levels, however Level number 2 was a bit on the too spicy to actually enjoy, and trust me, we love our food spicy!! One part that I think I was not a fan of was that for some reason the waiter kinda forgot about our drinks and we had to ask her for them a second time,about 30 mins later. The restaurant was not pack, for the most part, I saw other table drinks come out super fast that night. It was probably a miss on our table but not a thing of the restaurant. We Will definitely recommend and come backon our next visit to Charlottesville!! Thanks for the hospitality. ????????

The Rockfish dish was outstanding, as was the Mexican Coke bourbon drink with lime (I can't remember the name). Food was platted well, hot and incredibly tasty. The vibe is great for the location and although a little dark on the inside, the environment was still upbeat. It was a good experience, and there is only one thing that keeps me from giving it five stars the appearance of the staff. I know that it's hard to find good help and everyone wants a casual experience,but the entire front of the house staff looked liked they have been sleeping in their clothes without showing for a few days. They weren't exceptionally engaging and frankly, it appears that the dress code is old t shirts and whatever, soit was actually challenging to identify who worked here. We may have just hit them on a tough day, but it was early on a Friday evening.

It would have been nice if they had informed their customers that they were closing to move to a new location, especially those who had reservations.

We had made a reservation for 6 people at Bebedero through Open Table for Monday, December 20. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we saw a notice in the window stating that it was closed and would be reopening in a new location in February. Other confused customers with reservations were also present. It was later reported that Bebedero would be moving a few doors down on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, with service at the new location starting in February and ending at the old location on December 18. It would have been appreciated if the restaurant had informed Open Table and customers with reservations about the closure.

The food at this restaurant is always delicious, but unfortunately their menu is limited right now because they are preparing to move. I hope the change in location doesn't affect the quality and variety of their dishes. Wishing them the best of luck.
