Lampo2go - Charlottesville

We love Lampo but have been burned by Lampo2Go two times in a row now. The pizzas were very under sauced and were like eating soft and cold bread, not hot and crisp pizza like at the restaurant. We picked it up about 10 minutes before our estimated time too, hoping to catch them fresh out of the oven, but they were already in a waiting oven to keep warm. We expect more, especially considering they’ve bumped the prices about 40% in the past few years.

Absolutely perfect. Great salad, great zeppoles, and most importantly, great pizza. Soft and crispy, bright sauce, delicious cheese, flavorful basil.

This is a place you want to be if you like a semi casual bustling pizza shop. It certainly has an upscale ambiance, but everyone is close together inside if the place is busy. As for the pizza, it’s outstanding. We kept it simple with a margherita and meatball pies. It’s pure…great ingredients. The house red wine is quite decent. A plus is the new bar next door for the wait. I could review it separately, but the hostess was very willing to walk over and let us know the table was ready. I look forward to my next visit to Lampo and trying something different.

Hi Lampo Team,Hope everyone is well! I’ve got some feedback from our recent visit this past Sunday that I wanted to share with you all. We’ve always been big fans of Lampo’s pizza, but our last order from the IX Park location left us a bit puzzled.We ordered a Margherita and a Hellboy (with pepperoni instead) and noticed that the dough was undercooked, not like the perfect crust we’re used to from Lampo. It's not raw or cold, but warm and mushy. The crust is not crispy on the bottom which is your style, but this time the final product missed maybe longer cook time or hotter temperature.Also, the hot honey was missing its usual spicy kick and was thicker than what we’ve enjoyed before.Spending $44 and not getting the usual awesome Lampo experience was disappointing. We really hope that the quality at the IX Park location jumps back to what we know and love soon!However, until we're sure the next time will be back to the top-notch Lampo standard, we might hold off on our next visit. We’re looking forward to seeing the awesome reviews roll in again and trying those perfect pizzas we miss.Thanks for taking the time to read our thoughts, and we can’t wait to be back!Best,Kyle
