Carmello's - Charlottesville

Amazing flavor!!! Outstanding service!! Tonight?s meal was truly profound. A classic five star restaurant that brings the warmth of home in every bite.

Stella and her staff hosted my son and his new bride's wedding rehearsal dinner last week. It was spectacular! We had about 33 guests and they went way beyond what I had expected. All the entrees were great, and she made a chocolate mousse cake for dessert that was out of this world. The staff was so nice and worked so hard. Love you Stella. Next time I'm in Charlottesville I'm visiting Carmello's.

Well I tried this place and won?t go here again. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was like soup. I was like what am I eating. The salad was blah. Also messed up on my credit card. Small place with two people running the floor. Is there any good pasta places in town here? The Calamari was like rubber. My gf dish seemed like it was a Chimichanga. Guess Im too use to good NY food.

The food at Carmelo?s is amazingly good. I had the Caesar salad and shrimp scampi with their homemade pasta, along with the Brie appetizer. All were so good. And as good as the food was, it was surpassed by the incredibly kind and attentive staff who made me feel so at home and cared for.

The wait for our food was an hour. The lasagna had lots of hard noodles. Eggplant parmesan was good, the noodles served with it looked liked they had been setting for a while. There was a party of 2 setting next to us that got there food before us and our waiter didn't apologize but just mentioned he didn't know why the kitchen wasn't sending food in order. Will not revisit!
