New York City Pizza - Charleston

I've never been to New York City, so I can't attest to the pizza's authenticity, but it hit the spot on a Monday evening. My colleagues and I were in a board meeting off East Bay, and New York City Pizza was the closest pizza place and a very easy walk from the office. You can order online, but my colleagues are old school so chose to call. We got a large meat lover's pizza and a cheese pizza, and both were ready in the quoted timeframe of 25 minutes. I am a vegetarian, so I only had the cheese pizza. It sure was cheesy and hot. The slices are huge and thin crust. The guys who ate the meat lovers pizza really enjoyed it, and every slice of our two pizzas was devoured. The pizza didn't blow my mind, but it was quick, dependable, and correct. If you are visiting Charleston, this probably isn't the best use of a stomach space for a meal, but as a local, I would order from New York City Pizza again.

Not New York pizza. Food (pizza) should not be named New York pizza. Wow I can't believe how much I didn't enjoy that pie. Service was as good as the pizza. Never came back for a refill. The ambiance was okay.

I thought the pizza was quite good. Not quite New York really. But as good as you're gonna get down here I think. My wife loved the calzone and she's a Jersey girl. Not easy to please. I ordered their special pie with all the toppings.

Bartenders first day and he was spot on ! Made you feel welcome , very enthusiastic about the pizza ingredients and the ownership. Had a miller lite draft and slice of cheese NY style pizza. It was spot on

So we only ordered a single cheese slice to go bc my husband is a pizza fanatic and he likes to review pizza from local places whenever we travel. So we were here for about 5 minutes and took it to enjoy down Rainbow Row and film a little. Staff were friendly and the pizza was heated up quickly and we were easily given an ice water to go. This pizza was very good. We were impressed with it when we ate it. I liked it and I'm not a huge pizza lover. I thought the crust was good, it's thinner and not super thick like pan pizza and the cheese and sauce was good with a great flavor. Would def come back for an entire pie!
