Mcdonald's - Charleston

Leaving the races and wanted something warm figured we stop. Dine in hours say 2 online and on the doors but you get there and no doors are unlocked. The employees sit having their food inside but don't care to have the doors open like they state they are for dine in hours. Can't fit a trailer and truck through the drive thru so you're kinda screwed. Ambiance sucks without good service

I've never left a review of a fast food restaurant, much less a McDonald's, but I'll make an exception for this one. This restaurant was what McDonald's used to be, very clean, friendly and polite staff, quick service and properly cooked food. The restrooms were clean and the restaurant is situated well for ease of getting on and off the interstate. It's also one of few restaurants along a lengthy stretch of highway. Well done

I know, I know, I gotta stop reviewing McDonald's. I'm so sorry. But my excuse is that I hadn't had McDonald's in 11 months...and then I just went...crazy. Actually, it's because I ran the half, work got stressful and I didn't have time to cook...so I broke down. Because a McDouble and a McChicken sounded so good!! And it was. It actually made me slightly nauseous afterwards because I hadn't had McDonald's in so long...but I also literally inhaled them. This is a two lane drive up right next to EIU. The main restaurant closes at midnight, but the drive through is open 24/7. Out of the three McDonald's that I tried while I was here for work, this is easily the best one...it's probably because they get the most business with EIU being next door. I kinda wonder what happens after midnight though for the kids who don't have cars and want McDonald's. Do they just walk through the drive through? Thank you, Charleston, for re-breaking my McDonald's cherry.

They always close delivery on their app and on door dash. I'm assuming it's because they don't want to take the extra orders. Super inconvenient for us who have kids and delivery is more convenient. Can't ever get ice cream thier either typical. Last time we got fries they tasted so stale and hard must've been in the warmer all day long without being changed.

Food quality was terrible at 12 w. Lincoln location. Burger was raw and cold to the touch. Fries were not fresh either.
