Bay Street Biergarten - Charleston

My lady and I smelled the meat from the street and had to turn around. The smoker was prepping for lunch so we decided to have brunch. We had fried green tomatoes, which were the bomb, and schnitzel and greens. Everything was cooked well. But the schnitzel needed just a little more seasoning. Also, the greens were just a little too sweet. Some of the pluses...it's a big dog friendly spot on the outside and they had live music outside as well. Pretty chill place. We'll be

Food was great. I had the Jager schnitzel and wife had the fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwich (added bacon). Food came fast and service was good. If you are staying at the Hilton club liberty you can walk there in 5 minutes.

Nice layout, not too crammed in and lots of things to look at. The menu was a tad limited but the food was very good the beers were great. Parking is for Smart cars, spots really narrow and limited.

I liked the beers, but the pretzel wasn't fully cooked, didn't have any actual taste of its own (ie was reliant on the salt\cheese\mustard to give it flavor), and also seemed like the dough had been over worked and\or under proved... Also I don't know what was sweet on the tots, but it completely ruined the tots for me. When I'm back in Charleston next, I don't know that I would make a special trip here, because the food I had just didn't satisfy, unfortunately

Was there for the A&M vs. Clemson game. Great food and atmosphere
