Bidrage med feedbackI stopped by the restaurant because it was National Taco Day and they had sent me a coupon for a free taco (with conditions). I told the person taking my order that I wanted a gourmet shrimp taco and showed him my coupon. He said he would scan the bar code on the coupon and give me 2 gourmet shrimp tacos for the price of one, which was a pretty good deal. The tacos were good, but not amazing. The shrimp was bland and the tortillas were cold, but I did enjoy the sauce on the tacos. Paying $10 for 2 tacos (one of them free) and a medium soda seemed a bit expensive for what I got. I think next time I will stick to their Tuesday night deals on their fish tacos.
We went to this restaurant on my daughter's birthday for dinner. We specifically requested that there be no pork or bacon in the shrimp tacos, and we received confirmation from the server. We also made sure that there was no lard in the beans and got confirmation from the chef as well. However, when I took the first bite, I immediately tasted the smoky flavor of bacon/pork and my wife and I had to spit out the tacos. We have a severe allergy to pork and it is strictly prohibited for us to consume it. I took the tacos back to the counter and the server was calm about the issue, admitting that they had added pork to one of the tacos. Despite our repeated reminders and confirmations, the restaurant staff did not seem to care about our meal. We were not compensated for the mistake, even after complaining multiple times. Other customers who witnessed the incident were also shocked by the lack of concern shown by the staff. We left the restaurant disappointed and have decided not to return in the future.
I don't frequent Rubios often because it is just average fast food Mexican fare, slightly better than Taco Bell. On my recent visit, I ordered 2 mahi-mahi tacos and a carne asada burrito. The fish tacos were delicious, but the carne asada burrito was mostly gristle and barely any steak, making it impossible to eat. I don't comprehend why restaurants serve such poor quality food. Considering how popular and common carne asada is, one would expect better quality control. Therefore, I will not be returning to Rubios.
Love Rubios. Food is always great. Came during lunchtime and was very apparent they were extremely short staffed.
Always a grand experience at rubios if only we had one in Maricopa then I wouldn't have to drive to chandler
