Bidrage med feedbackSuper Chalet with stunning views of the Glacier des Bossons. One of the most beautiful terraces in Chamonix and its surroundings. The hike is worth a visit. Limonade aux Myrtilles, a small artisanal collar in the area. There is also a great walk to discover the debris of Air India during the crushing in the glacier, but also a poster explaining the advance and retreat of the glacier since almost a vintage.
After a complicated rise for the weakest of our group, we were happy to see that bottles and meals were only costing a few organs. Unfortunately pressed by time we prefer a little further to eat. After the abandonment of the young people in lack of power of the group, I continued with my friend Tonio on my previous climb of Mt Buet) to finish this climb of 1h30 in 1h10 huge storm for the older ones who ate the dust left by our quick steps. Once we arrived at the top of the glacier joined for those who still doubt the grimpistic potential, our excess energy pushed us to make the descent of 2h in 55min to reach Bousson in sweat, certainly but having collected the tears of dozens of hikers. It was nice.
It is probably the restaurant whose free parking is the most expensive in France! But it is worth the detour for its FABULEUSE view on the Glacier des Bossons! Don't forget to book before making a place.
Original location at 1425 m, easy access by chairlift from free parking. We live here an experience in the past. We will discover the history of the accidents of the plane and the film Malabar Princess, with the actor Jacques Villeret, certain objects of his sad accidents are visible, wheels, propellers, windows, motor... and also the bobsleigh of the film. And at the end of the road, the viewpoint on the Bossons glacier is magnificent and worth a visit...
Very beautiful chalet very flowery! Very friendly staff! 3min from the chairlift. Ideal for a lunch with a view of the glacier, or a taste! Take the time to make the exhibition (free) on the malabar princess (count 30 min) Very impressive to see the engine, wheel or propellers of the aircraft. Very interesting panels to read. The cottage also offers a tablet with images of reconstruction it seems to me but to see on site with the chalet (extra charge)
