Bidrage med feedbackI have worked in bars/restaurants for over 8 years and I have to say that is the saddest excuse for a restaurant manager I have seen in a LONG while. My father was cut off by this so called higher up when he was explaining he was trying to accommodate my special needs child who just needed to sit in a chair (oh which I brought the booster seat I would not recommend this place to people with little ones definitely NOT child friendly). As I work in restaurants I was curious so I kept an eye on him as he continued to work , if that 's even what you can call it. He sat with a table of presumably his friends for about 40-45 min and when he would get up to check on the restaurant he piddled around not actually doing anything at all just looking over the shoulder of bartenders and register workers before disappearing in to the back to probably mooch some tortilla chips. He claimed that restaurant would be so busy that he wouldn 't give us the proper table size initially for our group because it would be too busy to spare a single table. We walked in with a large group and only had a few joiners who weren 't but 10-15 min behind us in line. Something I also kept an eye on was the table top count. As a former hostess I can safely say I could have sat at least 2 large parties and several 4 top tables the entire time we were there. They literally have busers who kept all tables around us in rotation. All in all I would suggest not giving this location your business better off going to the Decatur location which is way more customer friendly! Whoever is in charge of this franchise of the chain should FIRE that incompetent manager. Seems like I 'm not the first person to have an unpleasant experience with him.
I could eat here every day. I love the shrimp and corn chowder. I literally dream about Enchilada with green pork chili. Warning parking is a beast at this location!Parking: Very narrow spaces. Worth the search for parking! Come by 11:45 am for lunch. Dinner not a problem.
As an Atlanta native and self proclaimed queso connoisseur, Taqueria del Sol makes the list of one of my last meals on earth. However after last Friday, Taqueria has been cut from the list. After seeing Barbie, naturally we decided to top off our girls night with queso and brisket tacos. Per usual the line was wrapped around the building. I respect the process, and have no problem waiting in a line. After waiting for 20 minutes, it began to thunder and lightening.I was in line with my nieces (ages 3 and 5), who got scared in the weather. I went inside with them and their mom, while the rest of our party continued to wait in line. Before sitting at a table, the manager told us that we needed to go back in the storm even with two small children. I told him the girls were scared, and we would order a couple margarita pitchers so we were not using a table without purchasing anything. He stated that he didn’t care, and that the girls needed to wait in the storm.Speaking like this to anyone is unacceptable especially in front of children. While I will miss fantasizing about drinking their queso with a straw, it is 2023 and being rude has simply gone out of style.
I had a really bad experience with an employee. It was a busy night, line wrapped around the building. We waited about 20 minutes outside in line it started pouring down rain, thundering lightning. I ran into the patio area with my two daughters, while the rest of our family waited in line. I was told not to sit down, get back in line like the rest of people with other kids until I had placed my order. We offered to buy a few pitchers of margaritas to sit and he said no. While I understand the ordering process here and have always respected it you expect your customers to stand outside in horrible weather? Especially with two young kids? And you have to be extremely rude to me in front of my kids? It’s not acceptable. We will never eat here again and I will tell my friends how horribly we were treated.Kid friendliness: Not friendly!
There’s a new (or I’ve never seen her) brunette female manager who is so rude. We come here frequently and she was rude to my family for sitting as I was ordering. We have two young kids. There’s a polite way to say versus being so mean. Not the welcoming atmosphere I’ve ever experienced.Food: 5/5
