Bidrage med feedbackI can't say enough amazing things about the talking teacup. the environment is stunning. the history in the building complements the ambiente. they have a wonderful selection of tees. there is something for everyone. eating is absolutely phenomenal. everything is fresh and scratched. they can feel the passion and the love that goes into every thoughtfully prepared dish. not only was everything fantastic, but they offer a great value. this is the cheapest tee room in the opposite, but I found their offers to be the best. we will come back and forth again. I can't expect to visit some of the special events they offer.
A new owner. everything was homemade! delicious! the scenarios were incredibly delicious and warm. the teesandwiches were super delicious. the dessert was from this world. so many tees to choose. the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I'm already planning to go back.
Would be funny if a movie. Not funny otherwise..My mother loves all things UK, so to celebrate her birthday our family took her here. When given the menus, my parents asked what the savory of the day was. The server said right now, it's spinach and artichoke but that could change in 5 minutes They asked what the soup of the day was with the reply it's chef's choice Not to be deterred, they asked what kind of scones were available. Again, the server responded that it was the chef's choice and added we don't get an option..My niece reminded them she was allergic to coconut. The server seemed unhappy with the reminder stating that should have been called head as it was more or less an inconvenience telling her now. My niece made the reservation and made mention at that time and was told to remind the server when seated. Only after my niece brought that to our servers attention did she quiet and mention it wasn't a problem. On to the meal.. my parents ordered the cream tea (pot of tea with 3 scones). We were told they only had enough for 2 scones each (seating is by reservation only which one would think would account for having enough on hand). My niece got the luncheon tea and my sister had gotten the lighter side with salad. When the scones arrived, the server said they found extras and my parents were able to get the 3 as advertised. Each menu item that come with scones say they come with preserves and Devonshire cream. The scones arrive, but no preserves. My mother asked about it. In very fine print at the bottom of the menu, it says preserves must be asked for Our server seemed irritated and gave us a very small cup (about 1 tbsp) worth and the same amount for the cream. My father asked for more and the server said well you share this and proceeded to push the small cup closer to him, saying it is to prevent waste. The one cup was all we got.Lastly, my niece ordered the luncheon and was given tea sandwiches. It is no exaggeration to say the size of them were about 1/4 the size of normal tea sandwiches. Grand total my mothers special birthday lunch of insanity? $87....
Went to the talking tea cup as an early mother's gift. I loved the cute atmosphere. They have a very extensive tea menu and everything they served for their high tea tasted absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back again.
The building is charming and the server was delightful. I enjoyed the tea, scones, salad, and soup; however, the portions were tiny. Think little kids tea party. The tea sandwiches were not at all appetizing and the desserts both looked and tasted like they came from the grocery store. Then the bill came. YIKES! Definitely not worth the money. The final straw was when they asked the diners to leave so they could set up for their next seating. I will not be visiting the TTC again.
