Bidrage med feedbackThis cafe started life in a small wooden shed, but it's now in a pleasant building offering a range of types of accommodation which will suit most tastes depending on the weather and whether you have a dog with you. The food is varied and delicious, served attractively by friendly staff and at reasonable prices. Definitely an extra attraction at the garden centre.
We came across the cafe by chance. So pleased to find a dog friendly place. Our young Lurcher can be a bit vocal but we didn't feel judged by other customers or any of the friendly staff. It was so nice to be able to have food and not worry about the dog getting in the way. We popped in on 3 occasions, firstly for a coffee then for lunch on the other 2. The food was hot and very tasty. We will definitely visit again when in Cardigan.
Fabulous, attentive staff. Three tables just outside the restaurant (but still in garden centre) for those with dogs. 3 of us had omlettes : they were amazing, packed full, fluffy and good for the larger lunch appetite. (In hindsight my daughter and I could have shared). Hot chocolates looked decadent and the tasty bacon burger came with a substantial portion of chips. definitely a great spot for lunch. Already planning our next visit.
A good to average establishment. Baguettes, paninis, cakes (good) and ice creams. We ended up here twice and it was a welcome stop both times. There are signs directing you to the cafe for miles around. The ones up from the coast are particularly enticing but note that if you approach from the beach the sign says something like cafe 10 minutes , uphill . While this is fairly accurate it doesn 't quite capture the gradient and slippiness of the path. One wrong step and 10 minutes uphill (panting for breath) could turn into 30 seconds downhill backside slalom.
Called in for Sunday lunch. No roast on offer, but there was a decent selection of lighter meals. We both opted for Cawl with granary roll. The drinks arrived quickly, but there was a log wait until the food arrived, had finished a full pot of tea in the interim. Perhaps a delay in the drinks being served would have helped? The bowls of cawl seemed a little small at first glance, but turned out to be just right portion-wise. The flavour of the fare was excellent and perfect for a miserable wet Sunday afternoon. The staff were very polite, and we will return there soon, hopefully on a warmer day!
