Pique-nique - Central Dr, Hornchurch

Good food but the service is appalling. The waitress felt she needed to mention that the portions were big when no one asked. Also she added that we definitely should have been very hungry to eat the chicken but we could stay reassured she would give doggy box to bring home the excessive food. First of all I feel offended as a regular customer. I go there as I am happy with the food. Period.I don’t like anyone to suggest how much I can eat. I find it indelicate. Secondly it was a special occasion and I wanted to take my guest to a nice place, elegant. Wasn’t expecting preemptive investigation about our stomach size or talks about doggy box. Again no one asked. I was hoping someone would describe the amazing ingredients they use or advising on wine paring instead.Very inappropriate. Will not go back. London seems now worried of too big portions of food but never worried about heavy drinkers.Not classy.

Lovely setting and a really nice design within the restaurant. French cuisine, the fish wellington (I can’t remember the proper French name for this dish) (forgive me) was the stand out dish. The fish fritters to start were too oily to eat sadly. Waitress was very friendly.

Really delicious food with great service and atmosphere. The steak was definitely the highlight of the dinner for me, and the seabass Wellington was very special indeed not something you can eat anywhere else so do give it a try! Best shared among at least 4 5 people as the portions for main dishes are huge and are designed for sharing.

First time at Pique-Nique! It is a French restaurant in London standing nearby the park. The staffs are helpful! There are variety of food you can choose to eat. You can come here through train station and take a walk to the restaurant!

Second time at Pique-Nique and still enjoy not only the food but also the service and guidance for what concerns wine. Cuisine at Pique-Nique is well executed, delicious, generous and at a fair price. Ideal for all type of event, I strongly recommend desserts which are very classy but still very tasty. Can’t wrong with this restaurant.
