Bidrage med feedbackGreat meal out.. Food was great along with service. They also accommodated a birthday cake for my daughter. Thank you Ampthill Tandoori!
The roulette diners descended on the small market town of Ampthill for a Saturday evening curry at the appropriately named Ampthill Tandoori. The beers were flowing, the banter from the waiter was on point, but the arrival time for the food was something to improve on. As was the toilet situation with only a single male and female toilet. Not ideal for a group of young men with small bladders out drinking with the big boys. Starters were ordered, and one of the group ordered what looked like an omelette, but all four ate with absolutely no complaints. A period of football chat then broke out. This included omelette boy making some heroic assumptions about certain premier league defenders that made all others question his sanity. After what felt like too long, the mains then arrived. Two of the group went for the dish which included a bald sauce. There was indeed a distinct lack of hair in their dinner, and all agreed that the sauce was a pleasant surprise! The other two in the group went for a Bombay chicken dish, and something with spices in it. Despite the wait, the dishes impressed. The naans were fluffy and the rice was fragrant. As is tradition, the waiter selected the card of the unlucky punter who would have to pay the bill in full. Bald sauce number 1 tried to add a tip to reflect the fact he had very much enjoyed his folically unendowed meal, but for some reason unknown to everyone the waiter talked down the amount extra that he should pay. As they left, the four young men wondered where their next outing would take them, as they all looked forward to an evening of Pickleball at the world renowned Flitwick Leisure Centre in 2 days’ time. Food 5/5 Service 4/5 Timeliness 3/5 Football knowledge from omelette boy 2/5
Always our go to restaurant for a take away in ampthill, the food is delicious. This time booked for 25 of us to celebrate a family birthday and it was a brilliant evening. Fun and friendly staff, great service and well organised. The food was up to the usual fabulous standard and enjoyed by everyone.
We moved to Maulden 6 months ago and have already ordered a delivery several times. Not had one mean less than really good. The consistency is what's even more impressive. Key points are: Not over salted or saturated in oil. Always cooked fresh and vegetables very tasty. Despite many dishes on menu they all taste different which again shows freshly cooked. Deliveries always within time promised and hot. Also ate in once to date and that was fantastic. Overall great restaurant managed well with a chef who clearly knows how to work with Indian spices. Thankyou!
We use this restaurant for our Saturday night takeaway every weekend. We love the food although delivery can sometimes take a long while. This Saturday we ordered for 4 of us and u was sent a text link to pay by card. Usually for 2 we pay around 28 to 32 pounds depending on what we order. Last night for 4 it cost me £75! I paid but thought it couldn't possibly be correct so I telephoned them and they said my menu must be out of date as they have had a price increase (adding up from the menu our meal should of been £58.60) I thought this was an extortionate price increase. I later looked online and put my order into their website order form and it was £60.40! So I was over charged by at least £15! Really disappointed with their attitude as I think I was charged for someone else's order.
