Applebee's Grill - Cedar Rapids

We walked in, 3 of us of a group of 7 1 in a high chair. There are several tables open. The hostess had to go to the back to check...even tho there were SEVERAL open tables. She came back and said it would be 15 minutes until she could seat us because all of the servers were stressed. Although a group of 6 walked in behind us was seated. She didn't want us to have a bad experience. Well guess what...that just set the tone of my experience.

Hadn't been here in years. Service was excellent from start to finish, very attentive. The food came super fast well and was delicious

Love the Halloween inspired drinks. Big fan of mixed drinks and frozen drinks. Great promotion running right now. Up to 2 free kids meals with the purchase of regular entree. I drank , they are it was great.

I bought two chicken and broccoli pasta for pick up. But when I got home, I found that the chicken was old, the pasta was cold and very dry. The amount of shrimp added was very small. There was no sauce in this pasta? It's crazy! I would never recommend their pasta!

We were here on a Friday night at 9pm. The place wasn 't very crowded and we were seated quickly. My wife and I had $36 left on a gift card that we decided to use up so we got the 2 for $24.The stars are meant to represent the whole experience so bear with me. Our waiter, Alaric, was top notch and attentive. Our appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip and it was great.I got the classic cheeseburger, it was cooked perfectly and delicious. However, the picture showed two slices of cheese and there was only on it The fries were undercooked and had an off taste, like perhaps the oil needed changing. My wife got the double crunch shrimp They too, weren 't fried long enough or perhaps hot enough. They were not even single crunch, the coating was soggy/oily and tasted like the oil was old. I used to love Applebee 's, but I haven 't gotten a decent entree there in a long time.
