Bidrage med feedbackA little out the way but worth the 15 minute walk from our hotel. Water, wine nicely chilled and much needed after the short but warm uphill walk. Mozzarella and Parma ham starters along with a large basket of bread. Steak for me and lam for hubby along with mixed salads and fries. Steak was so juicy and lovely flavour. Lamb was also really good. Loads of food all for €50. Definitely recommend.
From our hotel, Hotel Scapolatiello, it took us about a half hour to walk up the hill to Vecchie Fornaci. We were disappointed, as it was very ordinary; the service was poor; the steak was very poor, though the wild boar sausage was very good. Not to be listed among our favourites, and would you believe it, there were no toilet seats! We won’t go back!
We were staying in the hotel nearby and had dinner one evening in Vecchie Fornace. The menu was extensive. Pizzas were freshly cooked and flavoursome and the local wine was both palatable and inexpensive. Service was prompt and polite and the cost was modest. We enjoyed our visit.
Good restaurant just outside town in hilly area with panoramic view and large parking. the environment is rustic with a central fireplace that in winter gives a truly amazing atmosphere. good quality dishes: both the first and the second meat. quantity is not abundant. celery and punctual service. average-high prices.
They checked the green passage. the environment is rustic but well studied with a central fireplace that, during the Christmas period, gives a truly incredible atmosphere. dishes of excellent quality: we tried fusilli to the tegamino with ragù of wild boar, pappardelle and ravioli. for second, council cut with rocket and cherry tomatoes. average prices and kind staff.
