Bidrage med feedbackAlways very satisfied I always order the curly fries, salted caramel shake and the mac cheese.
Tasty tasty tasty! Not much more to say really. If you love a saucy burger joint with chill, retro vibes, bomb curly fries and the thickest of thiccc shakes, this is the place to be! It’s a little pricey and the consistency sometimes is a little sketchy, but whatever you’re paying for the experience.
Amazing food!! Get the Philly steak sub and delight in the tasty tender steak pieces smothered with rich melted cheese! Do yourself a favour and stop into this place when you're at Crossroads!
I’ve only been to Memphis Wings once before this review, and I had completely forgotten it was so close to me. Situated at the back of the Crossroads Complex you’ll find this American burger, and wings franchise that’s pretty good. On this occasion got the Bacon, Cheese Mushroom burger, with a side of 3 wings in Chipotle sauce. The one and only other time I’ve been here I got their spiciest sauce. As a chilli fan I was told by the girl behind the counter that the sauce is **** hot. Which is freaking is. Hence I went for the slightly milder option this time. For a Monday mid-afternoon the store was quiet, and my order only took 10 minutes to make. The wings were really good. Chicken was hot, tender and moist. There’s a big scale of heat difference between their spiciest sauce and the chipotle. The chipotle was nice and gave a nice mild tingle on the tongue. Very decent wings, wish I had order 5 instead of 3. The burger was solid, without being overly spectacular. The bun was OK, perhaps a little dry. The bacon cheese and mushroom comes with steak, which was sliced chunkily and was tender with each bite. There was a little gristle, but it wasn’t too bad. The bacon was good and the mushrooms provided a nice texture to the burger. It wasn’t the greatest burger I’ve ever had, but it did the job. The burgers come with curly fries, which are always a bit of fun. They were cooked well, and were crunchy and well-seasoned. Curly fries are a nice change to the ever boring shoe-string fries that every man and his dog seem to churn up with every meal now. The store itself is a fun little place to hang out and eat. Plenty of memorabilia makes you feel like you’ve hit the Route 66, with old school signs, coke bottles, and neon lights. There’s a healthy alcohol range of American beers in the fridge, and they do shakes, and coffee and almost everything. It’s a good place to go and experience if you want to feel like you’ve stepped inside a 1960s American highway diner, or you want an Americanised burger without going to McDonalds. Their sub range looks good, but I’ll return for a cheeky burger and wings when I’m in the mood for something quick and easy. I’ve driven past plenty of times and never seen them busy, so you shouldn’t be waiting too long. The food is also cooked fresh to order, so you don’t feel like you’re eating fast food either.
I always get the big daddy philly with cheesy curly fries. Fries are always crunchy and the philly is usually dripping with deliciousness (or fat, whatever you want to call it). Definitely a heart attack on a plate, but you'll die happy. The only downside is sometimes you'll have to wait a while for your food, even when it's relatively empty.
