Matthew's Rooftop - Castries

This restaurant had better eating than any meal we ate in our hotel for 10 days. highly recommended.

We had no idea where to eat. Spotted the rooftop restaurant and decided that was the place. Excellent welcome by Junior, drinks great, including non-alcoholic request, food was delicious. A real gem in Rodney Bay and a great place to chill and watch the world go by.

The food was awesome and the service was excellent. The shrimp and fish dishes (Mamas Special, Calypso Catch Bay Coconut Curry) were to die for and the prices were quite reasonable. Lovely, clean surroundings. The staff were friendly and eager to ensure our satisfaction. We will definitely be going back.

Both our fish had a few scales still on the fish. We hope this was because they took our order last minute before the kitchen needed to close for the time needed to clean up for curfew and were rushing. Other then that we think the service was great! Everyone was nice and friendly!

Had Bay Coconut Curry Shrimp my husband had Mamas fish special . Both were very tasty , full of flavor . The bowls were very small , more like a 3/4 of a portion . My husband had a decent amount of fish in his bowl . I had very few , very small shrimp a lot of sauce . I am sorry I did not count the shrimp So , my dinner was mostly sauce rice ! I guess everything to save a buck . How much would have cost to use good quality shrimp the right balance with the sauce ? Keep doing it this way do not be surprised when the restaurant is not busy ! People read reviews money are tight right now .
