Great food! The first timeWe surprised her with a group of 8 Red Hat Ladies. We also found out we can call ahead for reservations. Bee pulled two tables together for us and she put up a closed sign while she made our group 's orders. Why? It 's because Bee, the owner, does it all herself, from taking orders, to cooking, serving, busing tables, and ringing you up at the end. The wait was short, the food was fantastic! Tons of food, so plan to share or you 'll be taking home leftovers.This was my first impression. The second time we came in (2 of us) there was no one else around. The wait was short, the food was just soso. So that was disappointing.The third time we came in we were turned away abruptly. There was no one there, we were told she would NOT TAKE a walk in order, that I had to call in and there was a 30 minute wait. I would have been willing to wait except for Bee 's extreme rudeness. She wasn 't busy, she was just standing there. She answered the phone in front of me rather than take my order. They say the third times the charm, and I guess it is. We will NOT be back.This Filipino café is located in room 111 inside the Merc on Commerce. Common area tables are shared by another cafe. Sunshine Cafe is open from 11a.m. till 3:00p.m. and 4:00 p.m. till 7 p.m. but if you want food you better call in an order first. Oh good luck with that, the website is not user friendly. Most dishes at $9.50 at lunch.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Longview. I eat here almost every week. The owner Bee is a sweet hearted lady who is very passionate about cooking and a great person in the community. The curry is my favorite dish. The noodle dishes are delicious as well.
