Castle Cafe - Castle Rock

This is the second time I've eaten at Castle and again something was wrong the first time there the french fries taste like fish they cook them in the same basket. This time my partner ordered the breaded catfish which she could not eat was not properly deveined my chicken fried steak was nothing but a thin piece of meat it might as well have been chicken fried sandwich ? I don't think I'll be going back again.

Several American classics done perfect. Catfish, walleye, trout and pan fry chicken. ?

Some of the best fried chicken you can get. The other dishes have all been thumbs up as well from our experience. One of our go-to family spots where we know we will all get what we want.

The Chicken and Waffles were amazing!! The waffles came with a berry compote along with syrup and was SO good! The pan fried chicken was SO worth the wait! Great friendly service.

The service was a little slow, but I suppose that adds to the overall old world charm the cafe invokes—that of an era gone by. The food is fresh, flavorful and comforting. Portion sizes are generous and priced pretty decently, for the amount of food you get. Definitely recommend stopping in and sampling from this historic gem tucked away in the heart of downtown Castle Rock. Prepare to be charmed and well-satiated!
