Bidrage med feedbackThis is my go-to cafe on Canvey Island. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the food is always served quickly and hot by the very friendly owner. I am amazed that it is not more popular, but one bonus for me is that since there are not many people there, the food comes out fast.
After a long time we decided to visit the Blue Cafe as we were short of time. This was my 2nd or 3rd visit to the cafe. My son wife ordered one of the breakfast's menus (there are a number of choices) whilst I ordered sausge, egg chips. We also ordered latte, black tea a coke. As usual we didn't have long to wait for our food. It arrived well presented and obviously very hot. Very pleased with our quick meal cooked by the very friendly proprietor. Didn't disappoint after our long absence. Resolved to visit again on my next visit to Canvey.
After living on Canvey Island for 5 years with my son, we would often visit the Blue Face restaurant. They offer a great and varied menu at affordable prices. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They have great breakfast options, a children's menu, and delicious roasts.
Not very good value for money charges extorinate amount for very ordinary food charges extra for basic things.
We live in Canvey and like to try new restaurants. When our usual pie and mash shop closed down, we decided to check out a cafe for a change. It seemed like they had just renovated the place because it smelled strongly of paint. We both ordered pie, mash, and liquor, along with a cappuccino (topped with marshmallows and whipped cream) and a Danish Fanta. The food was served relatively quickly, but we were disappointed to find the liquor was a bright green color and everything was lacking seasoning with lumpy mash. Having lived in East London for many years, we were not impressed with this version of the dish. The menu at the cafe is extensive, so we may return to try other items, but we won't be having the pie and mash again.
