Bidrage med feedbackA really great place for lunch. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Especially the Spaghetti Carbonara which was the best I’ve ever head. The service was personal and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. My family thought the octopus starter was incredible.
After close to 2 weeks of delicious see food in Sicily and Sardinia we were in for a good quality steak for a change, my god what a mistake. The “Stone staked Agus steak with French Fries” turned out to be a boiled bad quality piece of rubbish meat with potato chips… sure, what to expect from a restaurant mainly focused on fish and seafood, but why on earth have it on the menu if you can’t handle it with some sort of decency…
We dined her last night 12th July 2023’having had an aborted reservation the evening before when parts of Castelsardo had no water so it couldn’t open. We were welcomed in for our 8pm reservation and seated outside on a raised platform looking down to the sea where the sun was setting. Having ordered 4 Pasta dishes we were served the usual local breads and the bottle of local red wine. I had to ask three times for the bottle of Sardinian beer I had ordered at the same time. The food came eventually and it was very tasty. I had a simple Spaghetti Carbonara and others had veggie pasta, lobster pasta and Fish based ravioli. It was all very tasty. The difficulties began when we asked the waitress for the bill. Having repeatedly asked for it we eventually stood up and wakes inside. The gentlemen behind the desk at the till enquired what we wanted. Having told him about our poor experience he said “we are busy” and don’t apologise. Perhaps sone lessons in how to take down an order and deliver it and when asked for the bill go and get it would enhance diner’s experiences and allow this restaurant to turn even more tables. This review does not reflect our aborted visit the night before at all. Nothing they could have done. There are many nice places we have eaten all around Castelsardo as the couple we went with had an this was a disappointing one. Shame as it has nice food and a handy location.
The first night we arrived to castelsardo we decided to stop at this very nice restaurant in downtown . we had a mix of seafood appetizers , everything was delicious, delicate and a wonderful presentation. As a main course I got the squid ink pasta it was amazing , so fresh and tasty, my friend got a filet mignon it was so soft delicious and tender, perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place. we spent 3 nights there in a week's vacation. Every meal was perfect and delicious!!! Gloria, the owner , is very professional and attentive , she kindly gave us 2 mirtos (which is a traditional Sardinian liqueur) after our wonderful dinner. Love this place !!!
