Acquolina - CASTEL FRENTANO

Eight of us ate here on a recent holiday. very quiet but this was a weeknight and by Italian standards we were there early 7pm! Pizzas were all great and had really fresh toppings recommend the Diavola and Buffala. One of our party wasn't very decisive and took staff advice to have a wheat pizza, again fresh ingredients but this was more like a pizza sandwich with no cheese. Possibly an acquired taste. great pizzas at a great price.

The terrace is an ideal place to relax and watch the sun go down while waiting for the good food. A wonderful view adds to the enjoyment and the service is friendly.

Staying in Villa Elce. Family meal out for pizza. Ample parking at front of restaurant. Pretty Terrace at rear but we had thunderstorms that evening so ate inside. Arrived 20.30 on a Friday without booking, seated immediately in half full restaurant that filled quickly in next hour with local Italian families and couples (plus the odd dog).Restaurant had evidence of air conditioning but it wasn't on and it did get a bit hot but that was only downside. Teenagers had mozzarella fries as starter, we had cheese and deli meat platter, all delicious. Pizzas available in various sizes and varieties, we had medium sizes and all left about a quarter as so full. Toppings were very tasty and bases crisp and puffy.Son had the super B burger: 600gms of meat with bacon,cheese,salad between a puffed split pizza base...it beat him! Great food, good friendly service (only one waitress who did a fantastic job). Hope to visit again before we leave!
