Bidrage med feedbackLocation is beautiful. Even though we had the suite the hotel is a little run down. Several things brokenBasically no service/self serve re bags etc. all in all it was fine and we had a great time.
Going to the RWC, we wanted somewhere with easy access to Marseille, Cassis was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, they could not have been more charming, accommodating and helpful. First instance, on match day, there was a train strike, they helped with local taxis, they had also let us get into our room early. We had a delicious before the match, on the hotel terrace, amazing settings and views. After a lovely day in Marseilles, we decided to spend Sunday at the hotel beach bar/club, the most wonderful area, with a stunning view, great staff and food. Steps to the pebbly beach(only downside, pebbles! , took us to a beautiful clean sea,in a bay, and so very calm. Breakfasts in the morning were also a treat, outside on the terrace or inside, with a plethora of choices, fresh croissants, delicious bread, fresh fruit, as well as hot, freshly cooked options. The rooms and hotel are tiled, so beachware friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and simply furnished, not sure you’d spend much time in there other than sleeping. Cassis is a charming port, with lots of lovely bars and restaurants, more old school France, quieter, with a slower pace of life than many of the more well known areas like Antibes and Juan Les Pins. Probably not ideal for younger children, but just the most lovely place to stay, the perfect long weekend getaway. Cannot wait to return…..
The 3 stars is for the fact that It was a pleasure waking up with the amazing view of the Méditerranée every morning. For that this hotel is A+. But the service was just ok, and the place was very dirty and ran down. For the price you pay, total let down. We arrived in late afternoon and our bed was made but messy. There was a paper bag holding one of the hallway door. White stuff on mirrors, blue stuff on bathroom wall, dirt on all curtains... i could go on... oh and a huge bag of garbage left in the tiny elevator one day for a while. The restaurant was just ok. So this was very disappointing to say the least.
I ate here twice and was very happy with service I received and the food I ate.Lovely to be sitting outside
Great location and fine dinning but services are really bad. Their wine selection could be much better but they have BYOB bring your one bottle) service and the cork fee is 12 euro. The first evening we ordered two bottles and, also, brought our own bottle. Everything was just fine. The following day we brought another one and the waiters helped us cool the bottle. At some point the owner/manager came to us saying that it is not allowed. We tried to explain her that it was possible one day before but she was really blunt. Moreover, they fotgot they refused us and when we asked for the bill they charged us 12 euro cork fee. Obviously, the fee was set up in the software but the manager refused us for pure unknown reasons. It really was offensive and spoiled our entire night. Stay away!!!
