Big Red Barn Rv Park - Carthage

What a lovely park! We stayed one night passing thru on our way back home to CA. Wish we had time to stay a couple of days. It was so relaxing, great set-up and friendly staff.

Great place-clean, widely spaced spaces and friendly employees. I will definitely stay there again.

Lovely place very well kept. Very easy reservation/check in. Only stayed one night during our journey from Minnesota to arizona but it was nice and quiet with large rv sites.

We are so blessed for finding this wonderful park to stay at and to call our home for this past three plus months. We are from Indiana and we are relocating to this area. Our hope is to find a home to buy somewhere in this surrounding area. The people here are great and so nice, especially each and every person who manages and takes care of this park. I cannot say enough good things about our experiences while staying here at this park. First of all in my opinion The Big Red Barn RV Park is more like a resort than a typical RV Park. We are fairly new to traveling in a RV however we've stayed in paid RV Parks all across the country including The Hart Ranch RV Resort in Rapid City South Dakota. This Resort Park is ran like a fine tooth sewing machine. Let me explain what I mean by that. First of all the geographical footprint and landscape is beautiful in appearance throughout the Park. There's a theme that shines throughout the entire Park. This theme is neat and very pleasant on your eyes. When you first enter the Park you can feel the pride and care that goes into providing a great experience for us camping here. This Park is big rig friendly. We are 55' long not counting our tow vehicle. The water here is clean and the water pressure is absolutely perfect. This is because Alex treats the park water before it's used. The laundry facilities are excellent and my clothes have never been so soft before using their facilities. I found out again the water is treated and softened. All of our Mail comes to the Park and delivered to the office. I get text messages all of the time letting me know I have packages and mail to pick up. They have a Propane service on sight for our needs. We always feel safe here and walk our dogs daily throughout the park. They have two adjacent together dog Park runs to let our doggies Play. There are little dog waste disposal areas all through the Park. Alex and Teresa are in charge of running the business for this Park and they are so nice and caring about our experience staying here. They even gave us a beautiful Christmas package with so many thoughtful gifts inside. How special can you be? They are the sweetest people ever. Trevor and Bethany are right along side them and just as sweet. All of them have helped us out multiple times with our needs while staying here. Whenever there's been anything that's went wrong depending on what it was for example, the breaker went bad in our Electric Panel box, it was fixed within the hour. Lastly, the internet here works and it's just another perk to staying here. We cannot thank Alex, Teresa, Trevor and Bethany enough for taking care of our needs and making us feel like we are part of their family. Again we are blessed for having such a blessing in our lives.

We stayed at the Big Red Barn RV Park for 8 nights. The park itself is very nice. Well kept grounds and nicely layed out. Our only issue was power. Several folks had power issues on our row. Our L2 leg of our 50amp dropped to 70 volts. Our EMS shut down the power. We had to run on generator for the morning we left as scheduled. The town of Carthage is very nice. We enjoyed the tree colors during our visit.
