Bidrage med feedbackTommy and his wife were good friends of my folks in the early sixties when they belonged to the Jaycees and Jaycee-ettes. I remember when Tommy had his hot dog stand on the traffic island outside his house. I was just a kid, but it was always a treat to drive by and get on of Tommy' dogs.
These folks have been here since the '60s. If you 're from Carteret you know Tommy 's Hot Dogs. It 's worth the trip
Restaurants have come and gone in Carteret, but Tommy has been in business since the '60 's. Some restaurants have even opened across from Tommy 's on Roosevelt Avenue, but they have not lasted. Tommy 's hot dogs are the best in the business. Every time I go back to my hometown Carteret, I always go to Tommy 's to have some with mustard, cooked onions and chili. They are awesome.
Tommy, Audrey and his son are Wonderful people. Food is great. Been going there since I was a child when he started from a truck. My children also went there. Just have to wait for the Little Guy to be able to eat. Hot dogs and burgers are great.
