Woods Pizza Beer Garden - Cartago

Visited this place with some friends. The pizza was really good(I’m really picky when it comes to my pizza). Price was high, and that would be ok if not for the rest of our experience. There were five in our group one person didn’t receive their order for about an hour, with not much of an apology from the staff. The other issue was the music that was playing(and I really do love music).The lyrics were so obscene that we had to ask twice that they change what they were playing.

The pizzas are amazing. I highly recommend the veggies pizza (aubergine, zucchini, onions, black olives, sweet peppers). I also ordered the sangria, it is a big wine glass filled to the top and always tastes amazing. During the night the have really nice lighting and during a weeknight (wednesdays I think), they offer live music. Highly recommend

Awesome place! The pizza was very good (for Costa Rican standards) and their beer list of European and Costa Rican craft was extensive and fantastic. The natural juices were also awesome in quality and quantity. Played great progressive American rock and the personnel were very friendly and attentive. Cool atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We came here for dinner and had 1 vegetales and 1 prosciutto parmigiano pizza. The pizzas were excellent and they have a good selection. We also had two good pineapple refrescos. They also do gluten free and “integral” (wholemeal) pizzas, plus vegan cheese. It was busy at 6pm, so worth getting here early making a reservation. The restaurant was a bit chilly it’s on a patio with some patio heaters. Service could be better. Generally we had an enjoyable dinner.

I was going to book the restaurant for 15 persons, to celebrate Christmas. I received a SUPER BAD customer service! The person on the phone (who said it was the administrator) told me that all 15 people had to arrive at 7:30pm and that they will only give max 15 min in order for everyone to arrive, otherwise they will give out the tables. I assured him that I was going to be there at 7:30pm along with others, but not the whole 15, that they will gradually arrive, but we needed the 15 spots. He said NO, and that he will give up the tables unless we were all there at the time. This is unreasonable and super bad service! taking into account that we will be there on time, but he will give out any other spot if the person was not there! I tried to negotiate with him , so he can come to his senses, but he always said NO. So I imagine he expected any person coming later to be left OUT of the activity. I will never recommend any of my friends to go to this restaurant!
