Butler Meats Co - Carson City

I purchased the Half Hog Special for $2.98/lb and have been enjoying delicious chops, steaks, sausage, and a beautiful, nitrite-free house-smoked ham for Easter! Incredible value for the quality, and I especially like that they cut and packaged my meat according to my specifications. The worst part was having to choose between Butler 's amazing sausages, which were ground fresh with my order: Basque chorizo, Hot Italian, or bulk breakfast sausage...just yum!

By far the best butcher shop in the Nevada/Lake Tahoe area.

Recently visited Butler Meats to pick up some high quality steaks for the BBQ. What a great experience! Squeaky clean and filed to the brim with delicious spices, sauces, mixes, pickled asparagus, green beans, and who knows what else. I will definitely allow more time to look at every shelf on my next visit. What can I say about the beautiful, fresh meats on display except WOW! I chose two amazing TBones nicely marbled, just the right amount of fat, and no gristle running through the meat and a plump, juicy, sirloin. Yummmmm! We used a simple dry seasoning combo and the flavor was amazing! Tender and moist! No sauce, just the steak seasoning. Anyway, definitely give this nice little butcher shop a try before you run to the local big box store. We are very lucky to have a butcher like this so close by. It's located in the stores on the SE corner of Winnie Carson St. Very friendly folks and eager to satisfy!

Asked for a chuck roast and got sirloin as a suggestion for a pot roast, sirloin doesn 't go great in a pot but thanks for attempting to ruin my meal and charge me 50 bucks to do so.
