Bidrage med feedbackEverything we said in our review of 12th September 2012 still applies including the practical information. Have a read. This year we ate there for lunch on one day, and for dinner on another. The pasta dishes continue to be superb, and the rest of the menu provides a good choice, well cooked. The staff are amazing at lunchtime: 50 0r 60 tables full, busy with working people hurrying through their meal. The staff run to keep up and everyone gets served on time. In the evening it's more sedate but service and atmosphere is full of charm and welcome. For us, this is one of the nicest places we know. Closed on Thursdays.
Rosanna Calamari and her family run a superb restaurant. We discovered it originally because at lunchtime there were 50 lorries parked outside and this reflects the quality and price of the food. The pasta is superb, especially the Panzerotti and the Tagliolini del Fungi. Good substantial main dishes all of them directly in the tradition of Piacentini cuisine, and most of the produce locally resourced like wild boar and veal. The wines are from local vineyards the fizzy white Ortrugo and the heavy red non frizzante Gutturnio at ridiculously low prices. The restaurant is big, spacious and very efficient. The staff are warm and completely flexible in tailoring the menu to your tastes. Reservation is advisable for lunch and it is a limited fixed price menu; getting a table for weekday evenings is not a problem but it's wise to ring at weekends in case there is a wedding or other celebration which might limit table availability. Parking is easy a big space immediately opposite. A 3 course meal with wine won't set you back more than 30 euros per person. Italy and good food? This is it!
Eat here whilst visiting soem Italian friends who knew we wanted good local food and we were not disappointed. We turned up just as it was opening for the evening and staff were still eating so we waited with a drink. Numerous local dishes and wine went down well in a nice atmosphere. Like another local restaurant I reviewed this area is off the tourist trail so caters for locals and that's reflected in the food and price.
The tradition at the table. we are in the province of pleasure and this place represents a point of reference for the typical cuisine of the territory. all homemade as once. quality and courtesy at the base of everything. recommended!
Good level, home cooking and the territory at an adequate price. excellent meat and fried dumpling. excellent the first (cutters to the porcini and ravioli filled with cup) and also excellent cutting of angus. among the spectacular sweets the bitter meringue
