Sakura Japanese Steakhouse

Ordered take out this evening. Sukura sushi roll chicken hibachi dinner. Total was $33 and some change. Not cheap these days with high rise in cost. Upon opening it when I got home there was not any chop sticks for the sushi. No soy sauce. Most disappointing was the “salad”. This was our first experience here and it was for my husband's birthday, we enjoyed everything!! The server was friendly and efficient and our hibachi chef was very entertaining! The prices were so affordable. I recommend making reservations but everything was worth the wait, we will be back!

There are so many options for hibachi in Greenville, including new restaurants. This was our first time at Sakura, sadly it will be our only. We regularly visit other hibachi locations in town but decided to try something closer to downtown. The “chef” dumped the food on the grill, no conversation or show, gave out the sauces, cooked quietly and served everyone. The end. The experience of the show with dinner is always great and this steakhouse was no exception. The chief kept everyone at the table laughing all night. The prices seem a little steep but it’s definitely the largest amount of food I’ve ever gotten at a place like this. The quality of the food is as expected. Not the best seasoned food in the world but very filling and you always leave satisfied.

Our waitress wasn't pleasant!! She acted as if we were bothering her because we asked for silverware and drink refills. On top of that after we paid our bill, she followed us to our car to say we didn't leave her a tip!! Usually when you have an attitude and act like the customer (s) are bothering you, you get no tip!! I won't be going back! I only asked for silverware and a drink refill!!
