Bidrage med feedbackI love that they offer a whole wheat crust. Eating healthier pizza is much easier here. I get light cheese, whole grain crust, skip the fatty meats and add plenty of veggies. It's a great economical dinner option with healthier options available! Tasty as well! Also love the finishes, especially the pesto!
Our first sign should have been the place was empty on a friday evening. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean. However, it did not smell like a pizza shop though, ingredients were old and had no taste at all, and we felt like it was overpriced. $10 per individual pizza. I would not recommend it.
Place is very clean and staff are friendly. Several times customers entered and the staff greeted them by name. Fresh food and very delicious. I had a side salad and the Buffalo Chicken calzone with a beverage. My daughter had a mac and cheese calzone with bacon and other items, with a drink.. Both were very good, I surprisingly liked my daughter's better. They were both served with Frank's Buffalo sauce and Bleu cheese dressing. It was a pleasant experience and we will be back.
Unique pizza made fresh as you walk through the line. New owners took over yesterday and they were very friendly. The pizza pictured is the figin awesome. It was extremely tasty although the Tasso ham really drowns the flavors of the other ingredients so if you're not a fan I'd order it without the Tasso. Also got a plain pepperoni pizza and it was delicious as well!
So I 'm giving Pizza Artista a 3 star review, and it has nothing to do with their food-it 's terrific. Last night I took my wife and my dad here for dinner, and while we enjoyed our meal there was one huge problem. This place is woefully understaffed. So the setup for this restaurant is like Moe 's or Blaze Pizza, the latter of which has this concept executed very well. You stand in line and each team member goes down the line with you, building your pizza and baking it in the oven. This usually takes 5-7 people to keep ticket times down. Unfortunately, during our visit, there were only 3 people on the line and as a result my family and I were standing at the counter for nearly 30 minutes. I mentioned this to a staff member and he agreed that they needed more people. I asked what the starting pay was and he said about $9 an hour plus tips. One would assume this is directly related to why they 're understaffed, and not just this place, but restaurants across the board. Anyways, when we finally got our food, the pizzas were delicious and Dad 's calzone was also finished in one sitting. The food is great, especially for the price point. My advice for people wanting to try this place would be to call in a to go order and come pick it up, and avoiding the lengthy waits in the line. Another cool option would be to have the ability to take an uncooked pizza home and bake it in your own oven, like Basil 's down in Savannah. Anyways, we 'll be back, but hopefully the staffing issue will be solved by then. Good food, great price point, awfully long waits.
