Cowgirl Winery - Carmel Valley Village

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding by traveling to Monterrey where we went 20 years ago. We went to Georis on both trips and it is a highlight. Great building, outdoor seating and some of the best wine you will taste in Carmel Valley.

We live in Monterey and were excited to try Georis. It has a really nice aesthetic and outdoor space. Unfortunately, the service was quite bad. We were there at the end of the day, and had checked with the staff that there was enough time for us to do a tasting. We were then alerted 15 minutes before they closed that we needed to pack up, even though we had a lot of wine left. The server actually started taking my wine glasses and pouring them out. The wine didn’t redeem the experience either, as it was mediocre at best. We love visiting the valley as locals, but unfortunately we won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend Georis to others.

Chilled bottle of Rosé was so tasty on this warm evening. There is plenty of shaded seating and the scenery is pleasant. There are plenty of other wineries walking distance if curiosity melts the cat :P also if you’re in the mood for some olive oil tasting head over to Quail Olive in the corner for a unique experience . Love coming here. Staff is always courteous and friendly. I love sitting out in the garden looking at all the plants. Wine is delicious. Highly recommend their charcuterie, too.

Well, this was a strange one. My wife and I have been Georis members for a few years now and we love the wine, the staff and the large and comfortable outside courtyard.With that being said, we made the difficult decision to stop our membership this week to focus financially on getting the kid through his last year of college. We decided to stop in for one more visit and tasting and let staff know we would be stopping our membership. Then there was Daisy, the amazing server we feel fortunate to have gotten to know over the past year. Her friendly and professional demeanor is something we look forward to each time we visit. This time was no exception. After spending a few hours with Daisy again yesterday, my wife informed me that we will not be leaving Georis anytime soon.Thank you Daisy for your continued excellent service and Georis for continuing to produce some of our favorite reds!The MacLaren Family
