Running Iron Restaurant and Saloon

A perfect meal in the warmth of life after a hard day of movement. Ice cold beer helped wash our dinner among VERY colorful locals!

Excellent food, great atmosphere!. Running iron (Funny name right? There's a story behind it... came very recommended by a friend of mine who likes horses, how far away could they be? I liked the place right away! Old Saloon Feeling, great live music outside on the terrace that ranged from country to blues, with a touch of funky jazz. Not what one would expect from a saloon, but oh so much better than the Tinny music that spies out from the melody of a creaky piano. But it's a saloon, so to business. Beer selection is good. Wine selection can keep its own. There was a respectable Scotch menu with all the necessary labels (oddly missing Walker Black, although the gold was there. Decent representation of the Bourbons (including JD Single Barrel . Many decent Tequilas also. Essentially, the general feeling from the alcohol menu was no matter what you want, we can get quite close, but there is still room for you to be a snob if you want. Skip the chili. It has a big taste (although a bit of tomatoes for a chili I think, but less kick than a prius. The steak I ordered was slightly undercut, but of excellent taste and texture. I'd put it back in a heartbeat. One of the best baked potatoes I've ever had. (Yes, I know, I also believed that all baked potatoes were equal but the service was great. Super relaxed. The owner or manager made sure we liked our table and invited us to sit wherever we wanted. The waitress was very attentive, but not floating. They were quickly deleted. This is a great place to come if you just want to step back. It is not a beautiful dressing place, but more of a let-your-hair-down-and-grab-a-longneck type of place. Cheers!

Amazing food! The place is really nice and the staff was friendly and followed all Covid restrictions!! Great place to eat! Reliable!

Very nice brisk beautiful way and attitude with people around most of all it's just the energetic feel you have from being outside and experiencing something new and nice
