Basil Seasonal Dining - Carmel

Good Italian food. Good variety of dishes. Underrated because it's in a hidden location overshadowed by the bigger Italian restaurants in Carmel. A small place to dine inside, but plenty of outside tables with a canopy and heaters. Try their cocktails and wine. Disappointed when the website advertised the special 3 course dinner, but discontinued it by the time we got there.

This charming restaurant in Carmel is possibly family-owned. The food here is fantastic - you can really taste the quality and expertise in their pasta, pesto, and bread. The ingredients, such as the pesto, bread, and burrata, taste incredibly fresh. I loved the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food. The staff were very kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! The portion sizes are also generous.

Basil is a quintessential Italian restaurant located in the charming town of Carmel. Situated in a cozy alcove, the restaurant offers white tablecloth service and has windows overlooking courtyard dining, creating a lovely atmosphere. Basil exceeded our expectations with its wide selection of menu choices that were tastily prepared, leading to a relaxing two-hour dining experience. We were particularly impressed by the locally sourced buffalo mozzarella appetizer, which set the stage for a delicious slow roasted beef rib entree. The wine list featured a variety of Italian vintages, adding to the authentic experience. Overall, Basil is definitely on our list of restaurants to revisit.

Wow! The food was incredible! A definite must-visit.

This was way overpriced for worse than average Italian food (my dish was even missing salt and the basic ingredients they listed in the menu). And the service was bad. The bill was wrong and they still added 22% gratitude! It was very disappointing.
