Absolutely faultless! We have been twice in quick succession this year, and a few sporadic times over past years! …. staff are very friendly but not over familiar, relaxed and calm atmosphere…. And the food is absolutely out of this world. Delicious but not pretentious, locally sourced and quality, but not overpriced. A wonderfully decorated place, welcoming, comforting…. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a gorgeous meal…..,

Visited with 6 friends for lunch in January. Lots of free parking at the side of the restaurant. We were warmly greeted and sat at a large table. The lunch menu is not long but the food was absolutely delicious. The plates were very large which made the smallish looking corses look smaller than they actually were. Virtually all the food is local and, as I said, delicious. Highly recommended.

Cosy welcoming decor and attentive friendly staff. Having attended on a Saturday evening we had the set menu, all dishes sounded delicious and there was something for everyone. We had the haddok, leek, and potato gratin and white sausage ragu to start, everyone ate it all. For main we all open for the steak and beef dripping chips which were delicious. To finish we had the chocolate mousse which was honestly the best dessert I've had in a long time. Staff also noted it was a guests birthday and paid extra special attention a really nice touch. All in all this was a delicious and perfect extra special dining experience. Thank you and look forward to coming back.

A friend and I dined on Saturday for her birthday lunch and had a great time. Steve and his team were welcoming and friendly and the food was most delicious. We started with their complimentary home made bread and ordered hummus with flatbread while we waited. We ordered the fennel salad and the goats cheese salad to start, both of which were beautifully presented and tasty. We both had the baked cod one with dauphinouse potatoes and one with chips. The crab sauce was rich and flavourful. For desert we enjoyed creme brulee and warm pear frangipan tart. The food was of excellent quality, local ingredients and a varied menu. There was an extensive wine list; we had an Italian pint grigio. We will definitely return and I would recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you all

My wife and I where on our way to an event and when just passing decided to pop in ,unfortunately it was closed but the chap outside told us he opened at 6.30 ,after the event we decided to go back,without booking and the welcome was warm,the staff brilliant and the food divine, they would not let us steal the chef so we will just have to go back x
