Bidrage med feedbackWith great expectation my friend and I visited for lunch. The staff and proprietor were friendly and welcoming and our tea and coffee came out in reasonable time. Our lunch orders however, took well over 40 minutes and we only wanted two melts; the turkey, cranberry and cheese and the ham, cheese and tomato. The serving size was commensurate with the price (small, yet adequate); there was no other decoration on the plate. The melts were a bit overdone and dry. Parking is difficult in this area and it is a busy corner on Logan Road. Would I rush back, no. Such a shame because this place had so much potential. And BTW, drinks in preserve jars, tacky! They are called "Red Neck Wineglasses" by those who don't use them in the USA; that's where they should stay.
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious morning tea at 'Cafe on the Corner' this week. The coffee was excellent, as were the home made scones with FRESH cream. The decor is 1960's with friendly table service. Very clean and welcoming. Prices are very good. They do High Tea Parties for Children. There is a Vintage Gift Shop attached where you can browse while waiting for your coffee - not owned by the café. Make sure you have enough time to browse through the shop attached - good prices. I recommend friends to meet here for morning tea or/and lunch.
I have never had a negative experience at this restaurant. The coffee is excellent and so is the food. I assume all of their menu items are also delicious.
A restaurant that is packed to the rafters is a good sign of what to expect, but we were able to find a seat very quickly.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! I have visited numerous times and have always had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is laid-back and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed dining experience.
