Il Gelataio Matto - CARIMATE

We were looking for gelato and happened upon this place while visiting Bellano for the afternoon. We loved the flavor choices and the staff were lovely and engaging. They gave us pins to post on their world map of visitors, such a nice touch. Definitely go there and try at least two flavors. Pro tip make one of them the dark chocolate!

Really yummy Gelato! Must try when you're in Bellano, it's located right across from the ferry terminal across the road. Great value, paid €3.80 for scoop of ice cream and a bottle of water!

DELICIOUS! Had a coconut and mandarin was so good that immediately after I finished this, I went back for a coconut and mango scoop. Hubby had strawberry and granadilla. The gelato is so smooth with real fruit or nut pieces. Not too sweet which is even better.

Very good ice cream, many only special and you have the embarrassment of choice. ginger and cinnamon is spectacular though ginger never liked it.

Great ice cream, so much choice of goi, kind and fast to serve. a must-have stop for both snacks and for a after dinner or even to take away the trays. prices in line with other ice creams but of excellent quality.
